Happy Feet

We are having a storm day here up in our "joy of a place to live". And it's mid-march. And there is a huge jumbo-tron size flashing sign near our local mall that keeps reminding us there are only 12 days of spring. Right, right people. Who do those sign posters think they are? We all know that you can call it what you want. Call it spring, call it fresh flowers blooming, call it birds chirping. Really, call it what you want. But it will still just be winter for us. Our storm season is here and has been known to come and go for another month and a half. So, post your signs and get excited. But we all know what really happens up here. I'm not trying to sound pessimistic. I swear I'm not. I love being happy and positive all the time. But.....it's about 1 degree, -25 with windchill, 40 mile an hour winds, and the storm is expected to dump about 8 inches of snow.

Let me tell you though, there is some happy in this message. Happy because I get to spend the day stranded with my little boy, my hubby and my highly energetic dog. Happy because I used Space Bags for the first time today and they were awesome! Happy because I browned a jumbo thing of hamburger and now have 3 meals worth of it in the freezer just waiting for the perfect day and perfect meal. Happy because we get to play and get things done. So, we are really making the best of it. And this is just one of the many ways that Leighton makes the best of it.Don't you love those feet? I sure do.

Hey, did you start your photography business and I didn't know about it? I love the name of it.

me too. how did you come up with the name?

Nope, I'm not quite ready for my "grand opening" yet. Hopefully this spring. As for the name, I was trying to think of a one worder name rather than my name and I loved Bella and tried adding words to the front. I think it means something like "to see light" so that is cool.

So can I book an appointment for a certain very cute little girl for her 18 month pictures?

Shannon, you have a true gift for photography. I am truely impressed. You have the eye for still life. Furthermore, I'll give you an 'A' for effort on potty training. I think lots of people start early and find it isn't worth it. From a dad of two who have already done it; when they are ready it isn't as hard as you think if you stick with it. You will know. One more thing: In your post you said this could be one of the hardest things about parenting. One word for you: TEENAGER!!! You will wish you were potty training. Nice work on the photos.
Your Bro, Aaron

Valerie,
You know I already have that cute little 18 month old penciled in for her photo shoot! And the rest of her family as well! We just need some warmer, springier weather!
Bro,
Thanks for the kind words. As far as potty training, yes, I think it will be a little easier later on. But he has been peeing in his potty for us sporadically this week so that is fun! Also, I CANNOT wait for the teenage years- I have heard they are quite a joy!

As to MiraBella's name, I just talked with Cassie and she asked her MIL (from Guatemaula) the meaning and Isa tells us it means
"a beautiful sight"...so...I really really love it even more now. Stay tuned.
