The Weekly Womb #26

Welcome. To this edition of the Weekly Womb.

Have you ever seen an English Hothouse Cucumber? I haven't. But, boy was I sitting there with a wierd look on my face when my friends over at Babycenter sent my latest Baby Update email. Apparently, the little spitfire in my womb is roughly the length of an English Hothouse Cucumber. Really? Not just a regular, old garden-grown cucumber? Is there a difference? I wonder if these cucumbers are spicy? If they are, this baby and that species of cucumber have something in common. At any rate, I'm not sure why the English Hothouse is such a rage over at Babycenter but what it all boils down to is that the baby is about 14 inches long this week.

And....

my little English Hothouse is really packing on the pounds this week. Roughly a half a pound since last week. And I thought my pants were tighter because of the 2 1/2 LARGE pieces of DQ Ice Cream cake I had this weekend. Silly me...

Plus...

the little Cuc. is starting to hear really well. which i'm sure he or she is now forced to plug his or her ears every time i start belting out my horrible renditions of Carrie Underwood songs while driving alone in the car.

On top of that....

i haven't had many consistent contractions, which is waaaaay less stressful on the owner of the womb.

And....

i took another self-photographed belly pic at the Twinkie game this weekend.

that i can't share with you yet because my editing software is making me crazy. and the kind people over at Nikon tech support and making me even more crazy.

so, it could be a while for that.

until then....keep tuning in to the Weekly Womb. i'm just curious as to what exotic fruit or veggie babycenter will come up with to top the English Hothouse for next weeks baby update....

as always...stay tuned.

Hey Shannon!

I'm so happy that baby is doing well and you aren't having as many contractions! Good luck with your photography software. What do you have for software? I'm anxiously waiting for the exciting thing that you're going to be posting! I think I have an idea, but I'm not certain! Have a great rest of the week! Talk to you soon!.

Hey Shannon-
Just to let you know the english hothouse cucumber is my favorite cucumber! They are actually kind of sweet not bitter at all (like garden ones sometimes get) and they smell exactly like the cucumber melon lotion you get at bath and body...well not exactly but close. Anyway I am sure your little cuc will be a sweet one too! Glad everything is going well for you.

Jess, that is awesome that you know what an english hothouse cuc is. you really could rival martha stewart with all your knowledge and skills in the areas of baking and plants and things! haaa.
Thanks Kristen! I am using a free trail of Nikon Capture and not liking it. I am in the process of ordering Photoshop Lightroom so that should be better.
