Family

Well, Derrick is back from Omaha finally! After 2 weeks away from us, it feels great to have him back with us. Grandma and Grandpa Heick were nice enough to help with babysitting last week as I had 2 days of all day meetings in addition to seeing my clients. They were a great help! Leighton got lots of snuggle time! This weekend, we headed up to my parents house with Aaron and Valerie and the kids to celebrate Lydia's 4th birthday. Jason was also off for the weekend and was with us as well. It was a great, relaxing weekend! Here are some pics:

Happy 4th Princess Birthday Lydia! Our favorite "Lydiaism" of the weekend goes like this: Lydia is singing "Jesus Take the Wheel" on Grandma's kareoke machine. Derrick walks in the room as says, 'Lydia, you should sing, Lydia take the wheel.". Lydia replies, "Derrick-this is MY concert!"
